The Tanzanian-German Centre for Eastern African Legal Studies (TGCL) is offering scholarships for the students of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda to pursue LLM and PhD Programme.
Brief Description: Applications are invited especially from candidates from the East African Community Partner States (i.e. Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda). TGCL was established at the School of Law of the University of Dar es Salaam in 2008. It is a joint project of the Universities of Bayreuth and Dar es Salaam.
Eligibility: The formal minimum requirements for admission to the LLM and PhD programmes are:
- For the LLM programme: a Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or its equivalent from a recognised higher learning institutions.
- For the PhD programme: an excellent LLM degree from a recognised institution
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing LLM and PhD programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of law.
National/International Students: Candidates from the East African Community Partner States (i.e. Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda) are eligible to apply.
