Canon Collins Trust offers the Patrick and Janet Stuart Scholarship for students from Lesotho. Most awards will be valued at R65, 000 for each year of study at Masters and PhD level. In exceptional cases we may offer up to R100, 000 per year.
Brief Description: Canon Collins Trust is delighted to offer one scholarship each year in the name of Patrick and Janet Stuart. This is available for students from Lesotho to study at postgraduate level at a South African university.
Award Includes: In 2016 most awards will be valued at R65, 000 for each year of study at Masters and PhD level. In exceptional cases we may offer up to R100, 000 per year. They support both full and part-time study and will consider applications from those who wish to study by distance learning.
Study Program: Scholarship is available for pursuing postgraduate study at a South African university.
Study Major: Scholarship is awarded in one of the following disciplines and demonstrate a commitment to social justice: Law, Economics, Politics and the Environment; Education policy and practice and Humanities which includes Literature, History, Anthropology and the Arts.

Eligibility Required? Applicants must be:
– nationals of Lesotho
– normally resident in Lesotho
– in possession of a good first degree, with a minimum grade of a 2:1, or upper second;
– seeking this scholarship for postgraduate study at Masters or doctoral level;
– registered to study or wish to study at a South African university;
-studying one of the subjects listed above.
Number of Awards: One scholarship will be awarded.
National/International Students: The students of Lesotho can apply for this postgraduate scholarship.
