The Association of South African Women in Science and Engineering (SAWISE) is awarding SAWISE Angus Scholarship for black female from sub-Saharan Africa. South African applicants will be given preference. The closing date for all applications is 15 November.
Brief Description: The Association of South African Women in Science and Engineering (SA WISE) is a dynamic association for all those who support the idea of strengthening the role of women in science and engineering in South Africa.Scholarship is available for Honours level studies (or 4th year equivalent). South African applicants will be given preference. The successful applicant should become an active member of SAWISE. Eligibility criteria include for SAWISE Angus Scholarship include:
-A sub-Saharan black female.
-Must have achieved 70% or above grade average in her subject of study.
-Only for studies at Honours level (or 4th year equivalent e.g. in engineering).
-In any field of science and engineering.
Award Includes: SAWISE Angus Scholarship has a value p.a.: R15 000.
Study Program: Scholarship is available for Honours level studies (or 4th year equivalent).
Study Major: Scholarship is awarded in any field of science and engineering.
Host Organization: South African Universities
Number of Awards: Only one SAWISE scholarship for black female is available.
National/International Students: Sub-Saharan black female (Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Congo (Democratic Republic), Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe) are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
